Monday Letter 9/29/25

Dear KA Families,

I hope that you had a nice weekend. This week we have our first 8th grade pizza lunch. This is a fundraiser for the 8th grade class and the Kindergartners love it! I highly encourage you to sign up for these lunches- even if your child doesn’t love pizza. They will love how the 8th graders deliver it to us and they like being included. Let me know if you have any questions on that.

It looks like the rain has come back. Please send a jacket with a hood each day. The red sweatshirts act more like a sponge and make the kids uncomfortable. And a quick note on homework. I understand how bus families are during the week, but I see a lot of value in 15 or so minutes of homework a couple of nights a week. It gives you an opportunity to connect to your child’s learning and it establishes the habit for later grades. So thank you for doing what you can to make time for math on Tuesdays and reading on Wednesdays. Have a great week!

Mrs. Clarke
