Monday Letter 10/17

Dear Parents,

Heartbreaking loss for the Mariners, but it was a fun playoff run. The magazine sale ends this week. I believe we will have a popsicle party to celebrate Friday afternoon, instead of the traditional assembly.

Please check the lost and found in the main hallway if you have not already. And please check all of the sweatshirts, cadet jackets etc. that you have at home to be sure they all belong to your child. It is helpful to label them across the neck so we can easily see who’s is who’s. Thank you!

The archdiocese asks that we teach a safety lesson during the month of October. Our lesson focus is safe touches. I will identify safe touches as touches that make us feel loved and cared for. Part of the lesson defines private body parts as the areas of your body that your bathing suit covers, and we learn the touching rule- no bigger person may touch your private body parts except to keep you clean and healthy.  If you do not want your child to participate let me know.

Friday I will send Mid-trimester reports home with the Fall MAP test results. Please sign and return the manilla envelope so that I can reuse it. I am looking forward to sharing their early progress.
